The Link Academy Trust is based in South Devon and comprises nine Primary Schools. Their unique characteristics are that they are all rated at least ‘Good’ by Ofsted, have a total pupil roll of between 35 and 105 students and are at the very heart of the community they serve.
Established just two years ago, the Trust is led by a Board of Directors and we are now seeking to recruit new members of this team with specific areas of expertise. The role of Director in this context is that of company director and charity trustee; Directors meet six times a year and also come together with representatives of the local governors and the Heads of School to discuss strategic issues such as growth, vision and pupil progress twice a year. Directors are also asked to serve on one or more of the Board’s four Committees – Audit, Finance & General Purposes, Remuneration or Standards & Curriculum.
The Board has a wide range of areas of expertise in its current membership but is particularly seeking new Directors with experience of primary education, building development and management, or IT in an educational setting.
